Greetings,
This week a significant birthday will be celebrated in our family. As Elizabeth is turning 18, I have been recalling the joy and challenge of her arrival. I remember looking at how tiny and beautiful she was, and wondering at how the marvel of new life could grow from just a couple of cells. Yet within that tiny, new life, there was hope and potential, as there is when all children are born.
The Psalmist praises God, saying, ‘for it was you who formed my inward parts; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, for a I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; that I know very well.’ (Psalm 139:13-14)
We are fearfully and wonderfully made, and the Creator of all knows each one of us individually before we even know ourselves. Whatever stage of life you find yourself in, I hope that you never forget this truth – you are known and loved and a wonderful work of God.
