COUNSELLING SUPPORT
We are supporting two Counsellors in obtaining their hours of practise by offering them space (in the upper room) and subsidising their client counselling fees. (The base fee is $60 per appointment.) This is wonderful support for anyone that accesses this service, for these counsellors, for our church, and the wider community. Helen Telfer is liaising and supervising these counsellors in gaining their required 750 hours. What a joy it is for such a generous initiative to be supported by church council and available to everyone in the community.
Appointments are available and made directly with these counsellors:
Fiona McLaughlan – Available Tuesday & Saturday 0412 527 921
Agnieszka Kosidlo – Available Friday 0494 728 963
FYI Local Churches, the Belmore Medical centre, our local Coles, East Balwyn Pharmacy, Lena’s beauty salon, Libraries and Greythorn Hub have all warmly received the flyer. Change is possible, it can be difficult but it is worth it.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED AT BOROONDARA COMMUNITY OUTREACH (BCO) Have you ever considered helping out at BCO? Your help is urgently required now in Kew on Mondays or Thursdays. The shortfall is because volunteers are away sick or on holidays. The tasks that need doing are sorting out donated food, helping out in the kitchen with food preparation and washing up. If you are able to give BCO some of your time, please talk to Voon Stokie (Mobile 0404807945)
DONATIONS TO BCO
Items that are needed at BCO include savoury biscuits, pet food, body wash, small tins of tuna/sardines, dry beans, coffee sachets (that include milk and sugar) and small bottles of cooking oil.
