Greetings,
This Sunday, 21 September, is International Day of Peace, a day that calls all humanity to commit to Peace above all differences and to contribute to building a Culture of Peace.
From peacekeepers on the front lines of conflict, to community members, to students in classrooms around the world, everyone has a role to play. We must speak up against violence, hate, discrimination, and inequality, while practising respect and embracing the diversity of our world.
As people of faith, we know that diversity of life on this planet goes far beyond the diversity of humanity, and that we are just one part of the web of life. We also acknowledge that Jesus, the God-One, through his example, shows us the pathway to life in its fullness for all Creation.
As we continue to engage with the Season of Creation let us lean into this understanding so that we might be able to live into the reality of Peace for All Creation.
Blessings – Heather Hon (she/her)
