Greetings to the Koonung Heights Community,

How beautiful the two ‘musical’ windows look following their installation in our complex.  Undoubtedly, each window has a story behind its creation, but as I look at the colours and images in each, I am reminded of the words of Psalm 150.

Praise the Lord:
   For his mighty deeds and according to his surpassing greatness!
   With trumpet sound, lute and harp, tambourine and dance, strings and pipe!
   With clanging cymbals; loud clashing cymbals!
Let everything that breathes praise the Lord!

It strikes me that praise is both a source of joy and that it can lead to joy.  As we praise and recognise God’s goodness, the act of praise itself can transform us as it shifts our focus from our own worries to the One who offers peace, even connecting us in some way with the Divine.

May we each find some time to praise.
