Greetings to the Koonung Heights Community,

Last Sunday, Elizabeth and I were lucky enough to receive an invitation to go out to lunch. It would have been easy to say ‘no,’ to head home and get back to work, but instead we said ‘yes,’ and I’m so glad we did. We visited a new restaurant, enjoyed great food and fantastic company … something that we could have easily missed out on.

God sends many blessings our way if we are open to receive them. We can too easily miss these unexpected blessings if we are not attentive to all that God is doing in our lives. They come in all guises, often through the people that surround us and in the everyday of life – a phone call, chance encounter, or a lunch invitation.

May we each be open to receive the blessings that God sends our way, however they come. May we not be surprised at the abundance that can be ours if we are open to it. May we also be open to being the instruments of God’s blessing to others that we come into contact with.
