My name is Heather Hon and I’m delighted to be in Ministry with the congregation at Koonung Heights Uniting Church. As this is my first ministry placement I look forward to it being an exciting time of both challenge and growth, as I get to know everyone.
My hope is to encourage the community to continue to be the hands and heart of God in the space we find ourselves. As someone who believes God is both invitational and relational, it is important for me that this is the model we adopt and that our church remains a place which is open and welcoming to all.
As well as my role here, I am a wife and the mother of a teenager. In 2019 I completed a Masters of Theological Studies. While this all keeps me pretty busy I work hard to maintain a healthy balance, trying to have involvement in some of the many things I love: travel, photography, music, bushwalking, reading and needlework.
