Greetings …

There are so many things that remind me of the vibrancy of our church community each week.  Whether it is those who drop into the church building during the week to attend to one small task or another, or those who practice throughout the week to share their musical skills at Sunday worship, each person shares a gift that helps this community be what is.  Reading though the Community News and Koonung Corner is another way that I am alerted to the involvement of many people in different activities, both within the church and the local community.

The fact is that each one of us have gifts to share.  We can sometimes think that what we have to offer isn’t much, but when all our gifts come together they create something quite special.  Koonung Heights has been blessed to have many people who have shared their different gifts over many years.  Some of those are no longer with us but we have been gifted with their legacy.

These words from 1 Corinthians 12:4-6 are familiar to many of us …

‘Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit; and there are varieties of services, but the same Lord; and there are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who activates all of them in everyone.’

This week you will have received the 2022 Commitment Form.  As you prayerfully consider how you can share your gifts with the community this year, please know that what you offer will be a gift to God as well as a blessing both to you and others.
