Welcome to Koonung Heights Uniting Church

2023, 20th August

Greetings …

Mission Aviation Fellowship has been serving isolated people for over 75 years, using aircraft to bring in the essentials of life as well as medical care, emergency food, and Christian hope.

According to their website, Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF) aims to deliver practical and spiritual care to people in places of deepest human need.  Every six minutes, an MAF plane takes off or lands somewhere in the world.  These flights enable crucial work by many aid development agencies, missions, local churches and other national groups. MAF is serving the Church and communities in remote areas where flying is not a luxury, but a lifeline.

Throughout their work MAF staff ‘aim to mirror the love of Jesus in everything … He cared for people physically and spiritually, meeting the needs of the people around Him, regardless of who they were.’

Last year the Fuel for Father’s Day program made a huge difference to the services that MAF were able to supply.  Purchasing a 20L can (at a cost of $50) is enough to put a plane in the air for 20 minutes which is enough to save a life!

Let us keep MAF in our prayers as they continue the valuable work that they do on the global stage, but particularly in the Asia Pacific region we are a part of.

Blessings – Heather (she/her).
