Greetings,

It was wonderful to worship together as a new community last week.  There was a buzz in the air and a positive energy around the place.  Yet in the midst of all that positivity, I have the feeling that some of us are feeling a little lost.  The space is new, or at least a little different, our mob has changed, and we might not be quite sure of our place.

In worship this week we will look at the parable of the Lost Sheep.  Sheep have a good sense of community so you can imagine how the lost sheep might feel when they are separated from their mob and in unfamiliar surroundings.  Yet the story reminds us that we are never lost to God, the shepherd who will search us out, not resting until we are found and brought home where we should be.  It seems to me that at times when we feel a little out of place, knowing that God is ‘in-place’ right beside us is reassuring.

Let us hold on to that hope as we all find our place in this new community.
