Greetings,

Today is Mother’s Day, a day when we recognise Mother’s and all they contribute to society.  Mother’s Day is also a day when we can take the time to honour all the women who have nurtured us, guided us, and mentored us as we have travelled the path of faith.  While not necessarily related by birth, we are conscious of all they have brought to our lives.

Today is also a difficult day for many – those who have lost their mothers, those who have strained relationships with their mothers, those who have never known their mothers, and those who have not fulfilled their dream of becoming mothers.

Proverbs 31 speaks of the strength, wisdom and grace of women, and my prayer for today is that all women might feel respected and loved wherever they find themselves, knowing the comfort of God’s love.
