Greetings,
Over the next few weeks, we will be reminded of the call of God to how we should live. This is encapsulated in Micah 6:8 which reads ‘… what does the Lord require of you but to do justice and to love kindness and to walk humbly with your God?’
As we grow together in community and look to serve those in the community outside the walls of our congregation, I wonder what this might mean for us? How do we ‘do justice, love kindness and walk humbly’?
As I ponder these words, I think the calling has something to do with living lives marked by fairness and compassion, while recognising that we are all actually dependant on God. We cannot hope to continually live this way on our own strength alone, but with God all things are possible.
