Greetings,

I wonder how you are feeling about our new community?  Is it too early to tell?  Is it how you imagined it?  This week the Interim Church Council has gathered for its first meeting, and council members have got to know a little more about each other, and so becoming community continues.

Over the next few weeks during worship, we will be spending some time looking at Community and how the Risen Christ calls us, as a Resurrection People, to be in community with one another.  This calling isn’t reserved for the people we worship with, but for all people.  This challenge for us is to know how we might show kindness and welcome in practical ways, while also meeting others where they are at.

‘Love one another.  As I have loved you, so you must love one another.’ (John 13:34)  May the Spirit guide us as we try to live out this command.
