Greetings,
As I’ve been thinking about the call for justice, mercy and humility over the last few weeks, I’ve come across a couple of writings which I have found helpful.
The first is a poem. It is quite short, with only a few words, but they are powerful words. I didn’t have any luck finding an author, so I share it with you as I found it …
A verse, a path, a way to guide –
Do justice, let compassion preside,
Love mercy, with open heart so wide,
Walk humbly, where grace does abide.
The second is a call to prayer from Joshua Watts. Let’s pray for justice. Let’s pray for mercy. Let’s pray for humility. And our prayers, joined with faith-filled actions, will change the landscape of our nation for the better. Let us pray, and act, along with people of faith throughout the world.
Blessings – Heather Hon (she/her)
